“YEAR 1” CONFIRMATION

Year 1 Confirmation Class will meet two Sundays a month from 4:00-6:30 PM with required attendance of Mass 5:30 PM-6:30 PM

“YEAR 2” CONFIRMATION

Year 2 Confirmation Class will meet two Sundays a month from 5:30-8:30 PM with required attendance of Mass 5:30pm-6:30 PM.

Dinner served from 6:30pm-7:00 PM

Class 7:00-8:30 PM

Our STOCYM Confirmation program is a dynamic, two year program that will walk with your teens as they come together in large and small group communities to cultivate a strong relationship with Christ, learn more about our Catholic faith and give them the tools they will need to continue to live out their faith while becoming disciples for Christ!

CONFIRMATION REQUIREMENTS

Attend ALL sessions: 3 absences allowed with makeup work

There is required catechesis. Confirmation is more than just learning it is also about building community! With only 12 lessons, so much shared at each in-person session!

Attend Mass weekly, part of the the Catechesis

Everything we do leads to Liturgy, it is an essential part to the faith journey. Plus, the Eucharistic is the source and summit of our Catholic faith! The graces received at Mass and through the Eucharist are priceless.

Attend Retreat

Attend 1 XLT aka Exalt

When people feel connected to their Catholic peers especially to their parish, it has been found people remain Catholic and strong in their faith to God. You never know how God will touch them in these times.

Complete 10 Volunteer service hours: all 10hrs in the church or 5 in the church and 5 in the community

Service is an essential pillar of our Faith. God calls us to help one another. Our church needs volunteers!

Complete Confirmation Saint Report

We are called to be Saints! Take time to learn about how we lives of the Saint, they are excellent examples on how to love Jesus more fully!

CONFIRMATION MASS

This year will be awesome as we welcome back both Catholic & Public school friends into our Confirmation community and prepare your students to receive the Sacrament in late Spring/early Summer. We want to make sure that we are all on the same page so that your student can have the best experience possible. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our youth ministry team to share anything you'd like us to know about your teen or with any questions/concerns.

As a reminder, your student is not eligible for "Year 2" Confirmation if they did not complete "Year 1" with us last year. The diocese requires a two-year preparation for all students (and has been our policy for the last two years). If you are coming from another parish we will need a letter indicating "Year 1" completion and a Letter of Good Standing from your Parish Pastor and Confirmation Coordinator.
