Dear St. Thérèse of Carmel Community, Welcome, and thank you for visiting the St. Thérèse of Carmel Parish website. I’m Fr. Chris Tozzi, and I am truly blessed to serve as your pastor. One of the greatest joys of my priesthood has been becoming a part of this incredible community, a faithful, welcoming family that has consistently embodied the Gospel in action. From the parish’s founding by Fr. George Byrne in 1985 (as St. William of York), to the dedicated leadership of Fr. Nicholas Dempsey, who oversaw the establishment of Notre Dame Academy and the development of our parish facilities, St. Thérèse of Carmel has been a parish of service, faith, and love. Since my arrival in 2017, I have been humbled by the love and support I have received here. This parish is more than just a place of worship, it is a spiritual home, and I am profoundly grateful to be a part of it. My greatest desire is to continue enriching our shared experience of parish life, fostering deeper faith, stronger connections, and meaningful opportunities for spiritual growth. Through all the challenges we have faced together, including the COVID-19 pandemic, I have witnessed firsthand the resilience, generosity, and deep faith of this community. We have adapted, persevered, and remained steadfast in our commitment to Christ and one another. For those of you who are new to our parish, welcome! We are excited to get to know you and to walk with you in faith. St. Thérèse of Carmel is your home, and I invite you to join us in prayer, service, and community as we continue to grow together. Thank you for being a part of this incredible parish. Your faith, love, and dedication make St. Thérèse of Carmel the thriving community that it is, and I look forward to all that we will continue to build together. |
