Contemplative Prayer
Tuesdays at 6:30 pm in the Church

All are welcome

In 1971 Pope Paul VI asked the Trappists to do what they could to help the Catholic Church re-find its contemplative dimension.  They began to teach in a simple way an ancient Christian way of entering into contemplative prayer.

Contemplative Prayer is an opportunity for people to become more aware of His loving presence within them in the tradition of Saint Julian of Norwish and Saint Teresa of Avila. That was enough. That was everything.  "We will come to you and make our home in you" (John 14:24).

There are many ways to pray.  Jesus suggested one way:  "When you pray, enter your inner room, close the door and pray to your Father who sees in secret will reward you."  (Mt 6:6)

Be Still and Know That I Am God.

Be Still and Know That I Am.

Be Still and Know.

Be Still.

Be.
