KIDS KORPS CHAPTER NEWS
Hello Everyone,
THANK YOU to all of those who attended our winter meeting last Sunday. We made nearly 50 placemats for serving Christmas dinner at homeless shelters. The kids did a terrific job.
Thanks to those of you who graciously signed up to sponsor a needy child through Greater Victory Church in Logan Heights. REMINDER: Your purchases are due a week from today, WED, DEC 14 outside of the NDA school offices. There will be a plastic tub labeled for Kids Korps that I will be collecting items out of daily. REMEMBER TO LABEL YOUR GIFTS WITH YOUR CHILD’S ID NUMBER! Gifts may be wrapped or unwrapped, your choice (I personally think wrapped is nice!). The church suggests that each child receive the following items: a long sleeve shirt, pair of pants, warm jacket and pair of shoes. Thank you all so much for your generosity!
We still need families to adopt the children who are circled (you may need to increase size to read). Their age, gender and sizes are all listed for you. PLEASE REPLY BACK TO ME BY TOMORROW (Thursday, December 8) IF YOU ARE ABLE TO TAKE ON ONE OF THESE CHILDREN!!! They are cold and needy. Let’s really all chip in.
May we all be filled with the spirit of Christ during this special time of year and show how TRULY thankful we are by serving others in need!
