Fall Calendar of Events

To sign up for any event below please register as a Teen Korps member at www.kidskorps.org and then email your event choices to us at stthereseteenkorps@gmail.com. You will receive an email to confirm your reservation as well as details with directions and information you may need. Each event has only a certain number of spaces available. You can also go to the Project Calendar on the Kids Korps website and sign up for any individual project that fits your time schedule and your interests.

 10 - Sunday, 9 a.m. & 11 a.m Masses - Youth Donut Fundraiser, Church

Sell donuts after Mass to raise money for Youth Programs (1/2 hour)

 16 - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.  - Carpenter Park Restoration, Cardiff by the Sea 

Come and help build and maintain this environmentally sensitive park that is sustainable and water wise. Bring work gloves, shovels and digging tools, wear closed toed shoes, sunscreen and a smile. (3 hours)

 29th, 30th or 31st, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. -  Sports For Exceptional Athletes Program

Camp Counselors are needed to chaperone campers/athletes with developmental disabilities at Green Oak Ranch in Vista (3 hours + travel time) Choose 1-3 days.

 

 30 - Saturday, 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Life Walk 2010 at Mission Bay Park

Life Walk unites more than 600 men, women, families, and teens to walk for Life Perspectives, an organization that offers curriculum and speakers on the right to make life-giving decisions.

 6 - Saturday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. - San Diego Habitat for Humanity Hostelling Int'l

San Diego Partnership 521 Market Street, San Diego, CA 92101. Volunteers, ages 16 and older, are needed to assist with refurbishing the San Diego Youth Hostel, located at 521 Market Street.  Volunteers will paint, re-carpet, and help with other cosmetic jobs. (6 hrs.)

 26 -  Friday, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. - Feed the Homeless, Bread of Life in Oceanside

Give back to those most in need at the Bread of Life Center in Oceanside.  (2 hours)

  

 28 - Sunday, 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. - River Garden Restoration, San Diego River Garden The River Garden is a new project for the River Park Foundation, 3334 Camino del Rio N in Mission Valley  All tools and supplies provided, no experience necessary. (2 hours)
