Ministers of Hospitality At least 17 members of the Knights of Columbus serve as Ministers of Hospitality on a regular basis as well as covering the fifth Saturday of the month. In addition, many Knights serve for funerals and other special events.
Parking Lot Patrol Christmas, Easter, some Funerals, special events overtax the capacity of our church parking lot. Members of the Knights run a parking lot patrol to direct traffic to ensure safety for all attending Masses and other services. Each situation requires a planning meeting so all workers understand the details of the event, the hours that need to be covered, and their position in the parking lot. They also act as crosswalk guards to aid those leaving church, and help elderly and handicap people find a close parking spot.
The Knights of In 2008, one year after the opening of St. Therese of Carmel Church, the Knights of Columbus voted to purchase two AEDs , one for the Church and one for the School. The AEDs are prominently placed so that they will be easy to find in case they are needed. One is to the left of the entry in the church, and one is in the school. The Knights also helped to train 25 individuals, to assure there will always be someone at each Mass trained in its use.
