Dear friends and family.
As many of you realize, today marks the first anniversary of our Annie Denise’s passing. It has been a difficult year but one in which I have found my faith strengthened by the comfort in knowing that Denise is happily with her Lord in His heavenly kingdom.
For the past year I have faithfully carried on the good work that Denise began back in January 2008 when she began to publish www.thereadinglamp.us. I have done this in part to honor her memory and in part to hold on to her through the sound of her voice. But now it is time for me to let go and to move on and to face ahead and not back.
So, today’s meditation is the last I shall publish.
The solemn promise I made to her at our wedding to “honor her all the days of my life” shall remain and I pray that as I step away from this work, I will be open to God’s call to service in His name. May we all take a moment today to thank God for the great blessing Denise was and continues to be in our lives.
