 Committees and Projects

Below are some of our projects.  To learn more about the committees
and projects, click on the green underlined links below.

 

V Altar Care  Responsible for the care of altar linens.  Volunteers are assigned on a regular schedule, once every six to eight weeks.

 

 V Angel Tree Project – A parish-wide project, facilitated by the Parish guild, which provides gifts for deserving groups at Christmas.  Christmas trees are decorated with angels, each indicating a gift to be given to groups of children and young military families.  Parishioners select an angel and purchase the gift or gift card indicated.  All gifts are collected and distributed to designated charities by mid-December.

 

V Blankets/Diapers for Babies Project – A charitable parish-wide drive for diapers, blankets and layettes to be given to young military mothers or local charitable organizations.  
 

V Commemorative Ornament ProjectThe Parish Guild is offering beautiful ornaments commemorating the opening of our church.  These keepsakes make wonderful gifts for family and friends.

   

V eScrip Project – A major fundraising activity that allows the Guild to assist parish and community outreach.  

   

V Hospitality Committee – Provides donuts and coffee and the opportunity to meet and greet other parishioners each Sunday  after the 9 am Mass.

 

V Military Food Drive – Annual food drive to support young families, held in the Spring. 

 

 V Operation Ball Gown – Collects new and gently-used prom dresses and ball gowns to be distributed to wives of young military for formal military occasions. 

 

V Outreach Committee – Assists the Parish and community in times of personal and family hardships such as illness, death or other challenging situations.

V Welcome Committee – Contacts all new parishioners, welcoming them to the Parish and inviting them to join the Guild and other parish organizations.

 

V Wine Tasting  - Community-building social event, usually held in spring, featuring wine and appetizers.  Held at Guild member’s home – a great social afternoon.
