Our History
St. Thérèse of Carmel (originally St. William of York) began with cordial salutations among few acquaintances. When the first building campaign was initiated, a small group of families agreed to join efforts to help and contribute towards the project. Henceforth, an informal meeting was organized, brainstorming ensued, talents were discovered and a successful "Filipiniana Night" showcasing the traditions, music, food and culture from the Philippines, successfully came into fruition. Through this initial accomplishment, a warm camaraderie developed, a few Chinese, Guamanian and Korean parishioners joined, and the community began to and continues to evolve with a growing spirit of fellowship and commitment to the church and one another. |
