Baptism
Baptism is a sacrament of Initiation. Baptism incorporates us into the Church and gives us a rebirth as daughters and sons of God.
The Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. Whether we are baptized as infants or adults, Baptism is the Church's way of celebrating and enacting the embrace of God.
Baptisms are held on the 4th Sunday of each month after the 11:00am Mass. The 2nd Sunday may also be available, provided we have at least two (2) baptisms for that date. Baptism is a communal Sacrament and not private. Deacon John Fanelle performs baptisms.
Parents are required to register as parishioners and become active and participating members of our community. Baptismal Registration Forms are available in the parish office. If this is the first child, both parents are required to attend the Baptismal Class. Baptismal classes are held on the first Monday of each month.
To schedule a Baptism and/or register for the Baptismal Class, please contact the parish office (858) 481-3232.
